Incidence of tuberculosis of bones and joints in Sumy region

Bones and joints, among other extrapulmonary organs, are most often affected by tuberculosis. The clinical picture is «hidden», the diagnosis of disease delayed for a long time with all negative consequences.
 Objective — to study trend in incidence tuberculosis bone joint localization Sumy region residents recent years draw attention general practitioners urgent problem today.
 Materials methods. We analyzed bones joints during 2007—2019. During this period, 200 patients osteoarticular registered region.
 Results discussion. Over past 13 years, number averaged 2.5 % newly detected processes. Tuberculosis spine (spondylitis) occurred 119 (59.5 %) patients, specific inflammation hip 49 (24.5 %), knee 11 (5.5 ankle 6 (3.0 %). was found 15 (7.5 60 (50.4 tuberculous spondylitis were recognized as disabled first time. Of these, group I 19 (31.7 II 25 (41.7 III 16 (26.6 %).
 Conclusions. In there has been an increase proportion CST diagnosed region. At same time, significant lesion (3—4 vertebrae) recorded 23 (19.3 persons, five more vertebrae (16.0 patients. Patients 50.4 cases permanently lost their ability work. Most groups disability require surgical intervention; without its implementation, irreversible changes vertebrae, which lead increased medical, biological, social disability.
